Yeah, but it's not a broadcast network?!
IND "SKY4tv" WSKY has been readded to Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News VA DMA lineup...
Missing from the Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News VA listing is PBS WUND 2-2 in SD...
Folks in Monterey, CA and Bakersfield, CA............
Time to check the TPN Map for this week. Your DMAs have now joined the illustrious "IN *TEST" list for HD Locals.
You will soon be watching a lot of NFL Football -- In HD!
Cue fireworks and brass band!!! At LAST!!!
What's a "TPN Map"?
DIRECTV Domestic & LatinAm Transponder Maps: New Data 8/15/2012
Wonder if Ion has tried to get Channel 46 to give up those call letters.
Actually, I assume they don't care, given the number of Ion affiliates that still have call letters containing "PX."
Good work Alan, just curious but what are the white areas? not available/not announced or so out there that they aren't in any market
I live in salem,mo ad i get locals from st.louis,mo and i wish tht directv would add wrbu 46 @ knlc 24 in hd
Yeah, I think its areas with no local channel service at all SD or HD, and none announced.
Likely corresponds to these DMAs from the transponder map "tan" shadings under the LiL Market List tab described as "No LiL Service No Service Date":
Twin Falls, ID - DMA 705
Alpena, MI - 517
Bend, OR - 529
Bowling Green, KY - 537
Casper - Riverton, WY - 541
Charlottesville, VA - 547
Cheyenne, WY - Scottsbluff, NE - 549
Glendive, MT - 585
Grand Junction - Montrose, CO - 586
Helena, MT - 599
Lima, OH - 621
North Platte, NE - 647
Ottumwa, IA - Kirksville, MO - 652
Presque Isle, ME - 663
San Angelo, TX - 667
Victoria, TX - 708
HoTat2 is correct...
Newshawk did an awesome job with updating the map... and it'll be nice to see three more locations filled in with blue very soon.
Regarding the HD LiL "blue" areas though, be kinda of interesting to see the map with separate colors distinguishing the older markets with both MPEG-4 HD at 99/103 and MPEG-2 SD at 101/119, with the newer ones that are MPEG-4 only.
But I wouldn't dare want to burden Newshawk with that additional task who's already done a great service with the map already.
Really? Dent County is in the Springfield market. You should be getting their stations.
Those 52 'MPEG4-Only' Markets are defined in the "LIL Market List" tab of the TPN MAP Excel. We also have many LIL Networks, like Net 692 - St. Joseph, MO - that are all MPEG4 except for a single imported PBS or CW still provided in MPEG2.
Those 'tan' entries are indeed those 16 Markets with No Local Service at all. However, three of those markets are on the "HD Launch in 2012" list:
Twin Falls, ID
I have changed the wording in the "LIL Market List" tab so this coming week's TPN MAP posting will be more clear.
my address is 411 c hwy ww the box # c is the reason why i have the st.louis loacls
Are Monterey HD locals now supposed to be active? Unless my visual acuity is lessening with age, I’m still receiving them in SD.
They are currently in testing... have been for two weeks now.
Expect to see them "SOON!"
Thank you, sir.
