Bamaweather...here is what I know from several sources regarding Lubbock Tx lauching on Wed Oct 27th.

Its my understanding that channels 11 NBC, 13 CBS & 28 ABC are good to go. As of Saturday Oct 23rd, Ramar (Fox 34, CW 22) has not come to terms with Directv yet, but they hope to soon.

of course it is all subject to change

    Great news!
I had switched to KFOR for HD news. An HD snob can't watch SD news you know.
Now we get the big three local news casts in HD - what will it take to get KOKH-FOX in gear?

Just to be clear, KFOR-4 (NBC), KOCO-5 (ABC), and KWTV-9 (CBS) are now all providing local news in HD in OKC.

From the earlier post KWTV just started, but KOCO was also a recent addition, maybe as late as last week when I noticed.

KFOR news had been in HD for a while.

    Broken...
Another update on HD newscasts in Tulsa-actually, 16x9 SD. Since KOTV produces a newscast for its sister CW station KQCW-19; they, too, are now in widescreen SD. Also, both stations will be switched to HD when they can replace the production switcher with a HD capable one.

Just checked the guide and we've got 6 locals available this morning. All channels that were in testing are showing up except 20 and 67. Any chance that those will show up later? Ch 67 doesn't surprise me because it is an independent, but ch 20 does as it is the local Fox affiliate.

Either way, yay for Montgomery! :)

My Lubbock locals showed up in my guide but when I switch to them, a message says the channels are not purchased. Do I have to call and purchase the locals?

I have to be able to watch football and House lol.

There is a post on avsforums that makes it look like fox and directv are still in negotiations for montgomery.
