This is by far the most frustrating issue I have with DirecTV.
KVHP FOX and KVHP CW are now active channels 29 and 30
Eureka, CA???? D* website says 2011.... anybody know when?
KMIZ-17 and KQFX-22 in the Columbia/Jefferson City DMA are now broadcasting the local news in HD.
Elmira, NY : Greenwood-Greenville, MS : Panama City, FL : and Quincy, IL/Hannibal, MO/Keokuk,IA DMA HD LIL channels are in TEST. Hopefully active local in these markets in a week or two.
4 More scheduled for "2011".
Is Utica, NY one of the four scheduled??? Fingers crossed!! It was one of the 16 listed in the press release from April.
Just a heads up,
KDOC-DT 56 based in Anaheim, CA. has been added to the Los Angeles HD LiL lineup at around 3:00 AM this morning.
PQ looks good ...
This now brings the L.A, DMA to 11 HD locals carried by DIRECTV.
will panama city fl be up next week?
Utica, NY is certainly on the list to go live yet this calendar year. That is good news for you at this time of year: you should get service sooner, not later. Historically, there is precious little planned (or accomplished) from Thanksgiving through Christmas.
The "LIL MARKET LIST" is a part of the Excel that is updated weekly in the TPN Map thread. You can keep track of all this stuff yourself!
Yes, but not all of us have been posting here for, say, the last five years, so we may not know where these things are.
Here's a link right to the source:
And just 100 miles to the North our count remains Zero.
Can you tell me what channels they are testing for Elmira?
Just curious if Fox signed..
Here is a link to that same kind of question in our TPN MAP Thread (In the Tips and Information Forum).
The answer you find there applies equally well to your specific question too!
Thanks, I found it.. why do some of the listed channels say "virtual"?
"Virtual" means they are not real local channels in your market, but are actually national feeds "re-mapped" to display in the local channel range of the channel guide.
In your particular case they are three of the "big four" HD network feeds from New York as well as the PBSNET SD national feed normally broadcast on channels 390, 392, 396, and 389 as part of the HD DNS service. These are then "re-mapped" by your receiver to show on channels 61, 63, 60, and 65 respectively.
Also look for these virtual channels to be removed once your "real" in market local channels which carry the same network programming go active, and unfortunately this may mean losing HD feeds for SD ones if any of your in market network locals only have SD feeds.
Only Greenwood-Greenville, MS HD-LIL's activated this week.
Jonesboro, AK and Utica, NY HD-LIL's added in *TEST this week.
Only Eureka, CA and Meridian, MS yet to hear from in 2011!!
Thank goodness, Jonesboro Locals pretty soon I hope!?!
I wonder what next week will bring?
