    As little as 1 week.
    No changes yesterday.
    Typically a few weeks, 2 or 3.
Some have lingered a month or two before going live.
    Usually happens on a Wednesday.
I try to check each week on Wednesday, unless other sources suggest a different launch live schedule.

Can anyone explain to me why tulsa local channels are showing up on my directv guide? I currently have Joplin Locals but now tulsa locals are showing up in the guide. I can't watch them it says they are blacked out.

To all long-suffering fellow Salinas-Monterey, CA DMA denizens: My tech while installing Whole-Home just informed me he has been told to expect HD LILs here as early as July or at latest August.

Yeah, for sure. We know we were penciled in for 2012, but this is the first confirmation they're actually planning on doing it within a certain time frame.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but it looks like KJRH-Tulsa has been added to the Fort Smith, AR locals. Hopefully it is the first of a few out of market locals to be added! :)

There were two more put up in test as well for Ft Smith. Guessing its because its DMA covers a lot of Oklahoma towards Tulsa.

That is great news! One of the big drawbacks of living in Oklahoma, but being in the Ft Smith DMA. All the local cable cos all have both Ft Smith and Tulsa locals. I'm guessing the KOTV (CBS) and KTUL (ABC) are coming.

Some of the stations in the Ft. Smith market have satellite stations in the Rogers/Springdale/Fayetteville area. That could be what they're adding.

Wow - Hope you are saying these have gone live - finally!

In our 6/7/12 TPN Map, they were still in *TEST mode.

Did some checking: these two channels went into *TEST back in October, 2010, with the rest of the Lubbock channels. Then the Lubbock DMA lit up on 10/27/10 - and these two channels have stayed in *TEST mode year after year ever since.

    Very interesting, eh?

A slight aside - the local channel look-up page on the directv website is inaccesible. At least, I can't get it to load. Anybody else notice this?

I'm with ya. I have been told the *tentative* launch date is Dec 12 2012 but I am hoping we see them a bit sooner than that. Would like to get more than about 10 days of HD locals before the end of the world, afterall!

Tomorrow being a Wednesday, any word on if the Eugene and Medford/Klamath Falls locals will move from Test to Live? I would love to ditch the antenna recorded local channels for some sweet MPEG4 LIL.

Just watch for a post from Doctor J - he's three hours ahead of the West Coast. And yes, usually, but not always, Wednesday is the big day...
