Sounds like you may have been converted over to a SWM setup and the SL10D10 is not capable of using that signal. You will need to contact DirecTV to see what your equipment options may be.

Did D* perform the upgrade or did you DIY?

they did, but forgot to check that tv because it was late and the tech was having activation issues.

Do you happen to know if they replaced the LNB on the dish, or installed a new multiswitch outside? If the installed a SWM8 or SWM16 multiswitch outside, it will have 3 or 4 ports on it for connecting legacy equipment like you have. Just run a coax from one of those ports, to where you want your 10" and you will be ok. If they replaced the LNB on the dish, you are out of luck until they come back and replace it.

I have the same flip down receiver/tv in my kitchen. The issue should be easy for you to correct yourself.
1: check your swm box and look for the port that says, " legacy"
2: run your coax to the TV from the legacy port.
3: make sure your sl10 is still activated.
    4: watch directv!

The majority of customers have a SWMLnb. It does not have a legacy port. Without knowing what the OP has the above bold conclusion cannot be reached.

Then I guess, the user will have to look. Not a BOLD statement, just trying to help.
Just had my whole home installed 2 months ago and made it clear to the installer what I needed to make everything work.
Maybe I assumed to much in thinking, others would do the same.
Good luck to the thread stater.

If you reread my post this was a literal definition of typeset in boldface. I bolded the area of your post I was responding to ;)

I probably should have written it this way originally:
