I took the "Tour" in 2010 at a Com-1000 instructional course.
It was VERY impressive.
Shows some of the capital investment necessary to bring us satellite tv.
However, I'm surprised that DTV would allow any photos at all of the inside of their facility.
I think most of the "proprietary" stuff is software. The outside stuff is clearly visible on Google Map. The computer banks are pretty generic, it's how they all work together that's the secret.
Yes, I thought you would find that interesting for a couple of reasons!!!
Without it alot of us would not get to see hardly any of our favorite teams.
Very impressive. How does one get to go on such a tour?
My guess is that you make some powerful friends.
I'll buy that.
Which Ain't A Bad Thang!!!
Hopefully I will see you and other Important and Powerful Friends in Las Vegas for CES 2013 as I am just the Lowly Butterfly or perhaps the Grasshopper!!!
I had to know a guy.
And I will help those Friends who have Helped me to have a Better Life with Great HD Entertainment from the Best Satellite Company in the World, DIRECTV, and I constantly thank them for giving me Great HD Entertainment!!!
Being Friends With DIRECTV is Not a bad thing but a Great Thing if you like HD Entertainment as much as I do!!!
I find this kind of ironic.
A couple of months ago, the exact opposite happened. There was a thread about Sunday Ticket that had turned its focus to the Solid Signal DirecTV Broadcast Center Tour, albeit momentarily.
