DirecTV WILL CARRY SUPER BOWL IN 4K HDR

    Just saw the commercial. Now the bigger question. Will there be commercials cause that could cause wife issues in my house lol

    Yes, it'd be crazy not to air the commercials. Can't imagine watching the game without them.

    As long as the commercials are cleared for streaming. Streaming rights are distinct. All the previous Fox and FS1 4K broadcasts lacked commercials.

    What about the local ad spots?

    Previous Fox 4K broadcasts had no local ad spots since it was streaming if you watched it via the Fox Sports app. The FS1 4K broadcasts did not have the normal cable or satellite ad spots since it was streaming.

    I don't Care about any of the commercials as I record the game and Watch only the game --NO half time --NO nothing -- It much better for me --Maybe NOT for you --but for me it's wonderful

    If you have 2 sets the ideal solution would be to watch in 4K and if there are no commercials on the 4K broadcast then watch the regular broadcast with commercials on a 2nd set. Requires syncing up the 2 broadcasts.

    The fine print of the Super Bowl in 4K HDR ad contained the disclaimer “certain restrictions apply”. Not sure how this applies to reception of the broadcast.
