The Mynetwork is not a network. They mostly have local news & commercials. FOX cooked it up.

My 2 cents. I originally dropped Directv because they didn't offer the Superstation package. I subbed to them for years. If they offered the HD feed of the channels I would sub to them again.

I would stay with Dish if they had the Supers in HD, something cable and Directv does not have. Better yet add more of the new independents

I was a sub on my primary acount for yrs an yrs from day one. Sometime ago, when I re-activated my account, the Supers disappeared and I couldn't order them online thru the website either. *Shrug* I ended up subscribing to them on my 2ndary account. So yes I still love an use the Supers. Its usefull to catch Big Bang theory reruns at different times. I can watch both episodes on WSBK at 7pm, or both at 8pm on KWGN. If I was forced to watch em from my home market, I could only watch 1 at 7:30 on FOX, and then hafta wait till 10pm for the other to pop up on the local CW!!! Crazy. Or just catch both of em at 10pm from KTVU Frisco. Bottom line, is I still find them, and all distants, usefull.

Superstations . . . something no other provider in the USA can offer.
Superstations in HD . . . . something no one can offer.

I bet if Dish had the Supers in HD they could use it in advertising to gain more new customers beating out Directv and cable. It would be something no one else has.
Dish corp are you listening? Figure out a way to make this happen, new contracts, new laws, something, just do it please.

Superstations are a dinosaur of the sat TV business.

They provide a service that is not needed by the vast majority of subs because the programming options have so greatly expanded since they were created.

Superstations were a good option when there were many many fewer satellite TV channels available.

There are only maybe 3 superstations left and their programming is all redundant and SD.

What if the maybe 3 were in HD would you sign up then? What if there were TWO? Or what if you could only get the one in HD that was in your Region, would you sign up for only $1.50 more a month.
The point is if they were in HD people would sign up for some, Dish would make more money, and it would give a reason to have Dish over Cable or Directv which means more money from more customers and more pofit. Dish needs to be different to compete other wise they just have the same old channels as everyone else.
Its called Ala Carte- everyone wants options.

The heck with $2/month, I'd pay $20/month to get KTLA in HD.

    Bell TV has Superstations in HD. They have WPIX-11, WPCH-17, WGN-9, KTLA-5, WSBK-38 & CHCH-11.

Yes that's Canada, TOTALLY different laws. As just one example, WPCH is no longer a Superstation in the U.S. and DISH can not carry it outside it's DMA. CHCH also can not be carried by DISH. (Ok, two of many differences)

I'd pay $3/month if they just made the SD feeds anamorphic widescreen so we didn't lose the sides to the enforced 4:3 cut. :(
