Well, I've already got a large number of various projects sitting around that I want to finish but never have time to. Thus it doesn't seem to hurt much to add to the list: Tom's Hardware described the Do It Yourself (DIY) Digital Projector. http://www6.tomshardware.com/howto/20041113/index.html (1st article) http://www6.tomshardware.com/howto/20041201/index.html (followup) The idea got me looking around, and I discovered folks have been doing this for awhile now. The overhead projector route is ok, but one can actually make a much better enclosed unit as well. DIYAudio.com has a forum dedicated to it: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=20 From what I've read, one of the better designs is for sale here: http://lumenlab.com ------- So, has anyone tried doing this? Spending $200 or so for a projector that is of pretty good quality isn't all that bad, especially if the only thing you'll hook up to it is a computer.
