Switched to DTV from Dish. Wondering if DTV offers RedZone alone w/o Sunday Ticket.
Only under certain circumstances (unless they make changes to their Sunday Ticket plans this year versus last year). As it is part of the Sunday Ticket package, they'd rather steer you towards that if possible.
What circumstances would those be? If I informed them that I would rather pay the penalty and switch back to dish rather than pay for sunday ticket would that help?
Check out the last few pages of this thread, it's all about stand alone RZC on DirecTV:
Just answer the mans question....NO!
So you'd suggest that we give him the wrong answer?
I didn't...u did
Some people got Redzone without ST. You are wrong, period.
No...you may actually want to read that thread that was linked to.
They would probably thank you for the money and deduct it from your credit card.
Truth is a small number of people got it last year and there seemed to be no Rhyme or reason as to who got it and who was turned down. They should have a more firm policy this year. We should find out sometime in June or July, right now who knows????
I got it last year but it wasn't easy. It's not "official" in that you can call any old CSR and they know exactly how to do it. You need (at least last year) to find someone who knows what they're doing.
Just as I thought
Just as you thought? You told the OP that it isn't available, when in reality it is.
Again, tell him to call and ask for RedZone without ST and and come back here and post his results. If he wants to receive it wthout a hassel he can stand on right leg, hold left leg up behind him, stick left arm up in air, point up with left index finger at the same time extending thumb out to form the universal sigh for Loosier and tune to channel 205.
otherwise, he aint getting. Agreed things could change this year (highly unlikely) but as of his asking, You can't do it.
Insults aside, which seem to be the norm for you, you were wrong because it's been given with & without hassle.
So the OP can't do, regardless of the fact that others have. Got it.
Apologies to the OP. Most of us were trying to help. I think you've got your answer. It is available. You can read the information from last year, but be advised that things may or may not change for the upcoming season. Wait until July/August/September (and a labor agreement) and we'll all know more.
One quick note to the OP: DTV's Red Zone channel is not the same RedZone channel you saw on Dish (or other providers). DTV's is an in-house production while the NFL produces the other RedZone channel.
