I have completed my first two years with Directv. If I take advantage of the Movers special and have them install a dish at my new location does this extent the 2 year commitment? I am not getting any new equipment or services.

This is a portion of the Offer Details (found at the bottom of http://www.directv.com/move)

There is a 24-month commitment listed for MRV DVR Upgrade. But read the Offer details.

The move requires a 12 month agreement. If you upgrade advanced equipment when you move, it's 24 months.

Hmm, weird since the the customer agreement link is not mandatory on my HH when doing movers…

I am pretty sure that is NOT true. There is no new commitment for the movers program. If I remember right, you can only use the movers program once a year but there is no commitment for it though.

Awesome. Do you have a link to where that is located at on DirecTV's site?

Now I assume this is because you are getting it for free. So if you pay to have it moved I assumed there would be no commitment.

I guess so. You could pay someone locally to setup a new dish but if you have a big setup like me 6 DVR's, HR34, SWM16 switch, it would not be worth it. The switch alone would be a lot.

It changed to having a 12 months agreement around 10-12 months ago(partial guess work here as the past year has flown by for me). Originally it did not have an agreement unless an equipment upgrade was part of the order.
