Mu 722 integrates OTA programming with an external antenna through coax interface. Will the Hopper 3 do that?

if you look around you will find - you must buy separate USB OTA tuner (soon to be dual channels)

And it adds those tuners to the Hopper3 count.

You need a USB tuner for the hopper 3 to get over the air channels. The older dongle is single tuner. The new one is 2 tuner. Currently its active as a single tuner OTA tuner. With a coming firmware update it will be dual tuner.

Just confirming it works the same way as on his 722. Is there a problem, P Smith?

While it is more likely, you mean Hopefully it will become a dual tuner. There are no guaranties, even when DISH says, "This feature is coming soon". Case in point, for years the ability to Add Locals.

Yes with DISH coming soon could mean coming May 2018.
