I'm watching the local news on WABC (MPEG-4) right now and there is lots of stuttering in the audio and the picture got choppy a few times. I just had my HR20 installed today so I hope this is not what I have to expect for the future.

Been watching WABC MPEG-2 for the last few hours and it's had some pretty bad and frequent hiccups.

    WVUE in New Orleans OTA.

Relatively minor audio dropouts/pixelization though it seems much better or maybe even non-existent with the latest national release. This has been the worst OTA channel for this for me despite having excellent signal quality.

I have audio stuttering on all Fox61-HD (Connecticut) content. Sometimes it's so bad that it's unwatchable (rarely but it does happen). Most of the time it's just annoying.

However, it is interesting that this should be a poll question. It implies that this is a problem with Fox and not the other HD channels. What's interesting is that it happens on our local Fox every time. It is expected that if we watch Fox(recorded or live) that there may be something we are going to miss because of it.

I do notice that stuttering on other HD channels but rarely. It happens to our local CBS often enough to be to say it happens on CBS. I couldn't specifically tell you what other channels it happens to.

What I'm trying to say(maybe not very well) is that it is something that happens on my HD channels but it is constant on Fox and occasional on CBS the rest is sporadic and not associated with any one channel.

I only get PBS off-air(can't receive the other locals OA) and watch it rarely, so I can't say if it's a problem there. Only with locals from D*. I don't get ABC in HD(Lin TV, but that's another thread).

    HR20-700 BBC's connected, HDMI
HD locals via D*(except ABC & PBS)
    OA PBS(CPTV)

I'm about half an hour behind real-time in today's NASCAR broadcast on FOX 88 HD and have got to say at this point I have seen very little glitching in the audio or video thus far. One of the best experiences I've had during any FOX broadcast in some time. There was one ugly video glitch a while back that was very similar to the same thing I was seeing fairly regularly during the Busch race on ABC 86 yesterday. Maybe those glitches were being introduced at the source.

I updated the 0x141 CE release last night as well so dunno if that may have helped matters some. Also watching from the buffer may be making things better too. Dunno.

No problems on Fox in the Birmingham market. (Now the CBS and NBC feeds, grumble grumble)

Can't get anything OTA here except a few analogs and 1 digital PBS.

Ok have caught up to real-time now and few minutes into the FOX 5 news broadcast it is reminding of the days of Max Headroom the stuttering is so bad at times.

Yes, I have the audio skipping and stuttering in Connecticut in the greater Hartford area. It's only on Fox. Sometimes it's just a nuisance and other times it's intolerable and makes it unwatchable.

FOX is the only channel that has no problems. NBC is the worst, with ABC and CBS in the middle, although at least CBS is in 5.1. NBC and ABC still don't do that in Reno!

WABC in NYC was terrible this afternoon. There was lots of red pixelation at the top of the screen.

WNYW national MPEG2 Ch. 88 tonight

Watched my recording or Prison Break and it had 2 separate instances of some very short blockiness in the video, but no audio glitches at all.

Currently 21 minutes into watching my recording of 24 and there has been about 5 rather severe occurences of completely garbled audio. I have checked a couple of these occurences against the same recording on my HR10 and they were identical in BOTH recordings.

Watched HOUSE last night. It was not as bad and it has been but still very annoying. Only 1-2 video glitches but every scene had the audio stuttering. I have been recording/watching HD shows on all the locals trying to see if it's a problem elsewhere. It's not! It is almost exclusively FOX.

However, it seems to be mostly Fox's national feed. The local shows (local news, etc) don't seem to be as bad. The Fox61 news didn't have the problem at all last night. To be fair, I haven't recorded/watched alot of Fox to say this is for sure but can say I've noticed a difference on the few shows I have watched. Has anyone else noticed any difference between the national and local feed?

Have had problems with FOX4 DFW 75238 since the begining, I have downloaded all of the CE's and it is still there. I think it has to do with the local station. The HD national programs work fine, what happens is when it goes from HD to regular or local broadcasting. I will get a 7 to 12 sec audio drop out, than I loose the picture, goes to a blue screen, and than it comes back.

I was about to post something about it, but I found this thread, if there are any DFW people I would love to know if the are seeing this also. I am connected HDMI to HDMI from HR20 to TV. not using OTA.
