Complain...it is the local affiliates doing it to these signals from CBS. Too much compression of a beautiful feed. Unfortunately DTV gets the local feed and not the CBS feed.

I notied the same problem, it was happening OTA also. Drove me crazy for the whole freakin game. No engineers on the Uplink side at CBS noticed this or they werent able to fix it. Oh well.. nothing to do about it now.

Really? Not here in Michigan. The picture is terrible and it happens also OTA. Maybe it is a problem with the local signal.

+1 to comments above about lots of image distortion and blockiness in the Redskins game on the HD channel of Sunday Ticket.

Local broadcast - over the air - wasn't much better though as the clowns running things at WUSA seemed to be pretty incompetent at getting HD going after coming back from commercials. They also missed the kickoff on the over-the-air HD broadcast.

I didn't have problems setting up the player tracker though. Set up two teams worth and had the alerts coming up on the screen during the games.

I did notice that the Red Zone channel ended their broadcast early, with two afternoon games still having plenty of game left to play.

The HD highlights on ESPN are having the same problem with the MIA-WASH game. Must be a CBS problem.

Well, I have to watch NBC HD OTA, and unfortunately it appears our local NBC is off the air. :nono2: So a nice SD game for me.

The PQ on Sunday Ticket HD 723 was horrible. I switched to OTA in Mobile and the PQ was much better. There was one two-minute stretch in the 1st quarter that had really bad pixelation (worse than Sunday Ticket HD), but other than that it was fine.

This is CBS' first season in going HD on all broadcasts. Could it have been a broadcast issue that affected certain markets based on whatever receiving equipment the local affiliate or cable marketer had? Obviously, it had a big impact on DirecTV's system.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one annoyed by the Dolphins result AND the PQ. The picture was "hiccuping" constantly and pixelating like crazy on some shots. I had people over to watch the game and it was quite embarrassing.

When I switched to OTA I noticed the SAME problems. It's a CBS issue, either nationally or locally -- but it doesn't seem to be D*'s fault.

Still -- most people keep asking, "what's wrong with your dish??"

Since OTA had the same issue and Fox games were flawless, my answer was "nothing!!" I then briefly skipped to the SD version of the game so people could see how spoiled HD has made us!!!!!!!

I hope next week we don't have the same problems though.......Go Fins!!!!

I haven't gotten a chance to see the entire recording but saw enough to know that things did not go smoothly for CBS/WUSA Channel 9.

During the CBS pregame "First on the Field" segment, we were sent to East Rutherford. I didn't think anything of it since I thought this was a quick tour of all the CBS early games. However, that kept going longer than I expected after which a sudden change to Bungle and Dierdork which is when I first saw the vertical bars. Oh, great ... (and I thought Tennessee-Jacksonville was the SD-only game)

Come kickoff time, we were once again sent to the Meadowlands which made me wonder if FedEx had sold out, then sent back to our game (with those bars). It was late in the first quarter when we finally got the true HD wide screen ...

I haven't watched any further to this point ...

sounds like it was an ugly performance from CBS ...

I think it was a CBS problem because the other games looked great  But that MIA-WASH game was a bit hard on the eyes to say the least :(
