I found this very interesting. From the PBS Downton Abbey site:
Rather than start a new thread, as this one is perfect to revive today, my question is: did anyone have an early termination of yesterday's episode? It seemed to cutoff early, or that there was more going on past the one hour.
This is the reason I buy the series on Blu Ray to watch.
My guide info showed 1:15 yesterday's showing. What I'm trying to figure out is why my Genie didn't record it, had to do a repeat later yesterday.

My Genie caught the entire episode. Guess it depended on the Tribune data for each local PBS station.
Yes, that would be the case; good point.
Was it normal length?
No. Both on the PBS website and the Zap2It and TitanTV guide listings It was scheduled for 9:00-10:15 pm and was followed by "Murder on the Home Front" from 10:15-12:00. And even though they showed that way on my Dish system, I extended the end time on both by 15 minutes and the start time on the last one by 5 minutes. Not that I'm paranoid, but my experience with weird scheduling hasn't been good.
Ya made the right choice! I have no idea what my Guide would have showed.
I watched it on channel 50 in LA, and it was 1:15, not 1:00. My DirecTV DVR recorded all of it just fine.
