DTV 4K Service Parameters

    They will upgrade it, but your current LNB will likely work fine with 4K. Heck I’m still using a legacy 4 port 5LNB and a Zinwell 4x8 multiswitch and still get the 4K programming. That will last until/if reverse band gets implemented.

    When D* does a 4K upgrade it includes the RB LNB -NOT because it's needed -but because it's one less account they will have to re-visit when Current 4K channels are Moved to the New Sat locations that only a RB LNB can receive.

    Correct- in my case because I have so many tuners, they added a second slimline dish next to my existing dish with a RB LNB to connect the HR54 and C61K for the 4K upgrade. After they left, I disconnected Genie and client from new dish and connected to my parallel SWM-16 setup since all splitters are basically next to each other on my distribution board. All the equipment seemed to talk to each other better with the revised setup.
