E! HD will be available on DTV starting April 25th
No it isn't. You must have hide SD dupes on and it is showing the hd channel."Rtm" said:It's guide data is empty on the iPad app for the SD channel
Are you sure there is not an HD version? The Strange thing is that if you google 'Military History Channel' this comes back:bobvick1983 said:You are correct, I was wrong about it being the Military Channel in HD. However, Military History Channel does not have a HD feed either at this point, so if they are looking at adding the channel it will be SD as of right now. Like you pointed out, I would think that as far as future addtions from A+E Networks, they would add H2 HD and LMN HD, but you never know.
Whatever.....tonyd79 said:No it isn't. You must have hide SD dupes on and it is showing the hd channel.
Yes... It used to cover all the bad talk shows like Springer, Maury, Dr. Phil, etc.... Now it also covers the glut of bad reality shows like Jersey Shore, Ice Loves Coco, Pawn Stars, etc... So they dropped "Talk" from the title.RML81 said:Didn't "The Soup" used to be called "Talk Soup"?
Sort of. "The Soup" is a more direct descendant of "The What The...? Awards". "Talk Soup" had been off the air for a couple of years before they renamed "The What The....? Awards" to "The Soup".jasonblair said:Yes... It used to cover all the bad talk shows like Springer, Maury, Dr. Phil, etc.... I heard it will carry basket tossing events.VARTV said:Wow if true. E! is pretty far down the chart...
I seen that when I did a Google search as well. If there is a HD feed it seems as if no one carries it yet. The Wikipedia article states that there is not a HD feed yet. Could be one and no body carries it?"bjoe" said:Are you sure there is not an HD version? The Strange thing is that if you google 'Military History Channel' this comes back:
Military History Channel
military.history.com/
Discover the military history of our nation and our world with HD
quality programming like never before experienced on tv.
However, clicking through to the actual site reveals no details about the HD version. It would appear a cached version of their site at one time had the details.
We're talking about the smartphone and tablet apps. The channel will launch on TV tomorrow at 6 AM ET.dod1450 said:I am confuse. I do NOT see channel 236 E! in HD. Yes I do hide SD duplicates.
You were correct I apologize. Thank you I just didn't get why they would hide an SD when it isn't technically duplicated yet.tonyd79 said:Huh? I gave you information. Nice.
New HD channels on the guides of the apps and D*'s website always show up a few days before they actually go live on TV. I dunno why but it's been that way for several months.Rtm said:You were correct I apologize. Thank you I just didn't get why they would hide an SD when it isn't technically duplicated yet.
Apology accepted. Just a misunderstanding."Rtm" said:You were correct I apologize. Thank you I just didn't get why they would hide an SD when it isn't technically duplicated yet.
Me too... a VERY LONG time ago...MikeW said:I haven't tuned to E! since Kinnear left Talk Soup. I guess it has been a very long time.
You were given this channel because of your avatar. Come on man!Tele-TV said:I'm ebarrassed to say how repetive E! channel programming is. Right now I'm only "excited" to see the Kardashians (not "Khloe and Lamar", show); premiere "The Kardashians," MAY 20.
May I please trade my wishes TruTv and E! HD for Nat Geo WILD '.'

Yes! I immediately noticed exactly what you describe. I don't know if the softness is a problem from E! itself or from DirecTV. Even this somewhat soft HD picture is better than SD, but yeah, I'd like to see an improvement.JACH said:Doesn't anyone else think the HD picture is soft? I immediately noticed this on thursday night while True Hollywood Story - Giuliana Rancic was on. The pic was consistenly soft throughout the program. Then I checked Chelsea Lately and the quality was the same. Wasn't bad but a significant difference between E! HD and other HD channels.
Is it because E! Is the 6th channel on a transponder?"Captain Spaulding" said:Yes! I immediately noticed exactly what you describe. Not sure about that, but the channel on Xfinity is much sharper than the one on D* doing a A/B comparison. Especially noticeable in the corner bug.TheRatPatrol said:Is it because E! Is the 6th channel on a transponder?
