The signal lock problem has been reported elsewhere. Many of us cannot doa switch check or get the acquiring signal screen every time we try to check signal strength. But 110 is viewable for most of us.

According to the charts on EKB, you are probably getting this signal from Spot 9. So 150+ miles east of the Spot 9 area you can still get a signal of 84. No wonder there are so many reports in this thread of interference between spots - it would seems like the spots are not as tightly centered as the maps suggest.

newflyer7, what is your reading on tp 26?

The tp 31 signal is almost certainly from spot 5 targeted on VA, not spot 9, otherwise there would also be signal on 27 and 29, the other tps on spot 9. Readings on 23 and 25 show the effects of interference from spot 8. In northern VA, readings on 23 and 31 are about the same, while 25 reads significantly higher.

Good morning everyone. Did E* increase the power to spot 5 on TP 23 (110)? I am now getting a reading of 63 - 65. Previously, this spot was reading in the 53 - 55 range. This TP carries the Balt., MD locals and was a concern due to the low signal strength. No rain fade yet, so I guess it will be ok. Sorry that I didn't get a complete reading on all the TP's. I will do that tonight to see if there are any other changes.

    31 74 (spotbeam 5, greensboro nc locals)

does anybody care about these numbers anymore?

i find it interesting that i could get a much better signal on my locals by "moving" to philly but i'd never consider that since it would mean doing with an RSN (stupid comcast).
