I have an external hard drive connected to 1 of my 2 new Hoppers. The drive has a very agressive power down feature that turns it off after about 8 hours and the Hopper can no longer see it. I have to power it down and then turn it on again which was the same problem I had with my 722 DVR.

The issue I have now is that after the power reset on the EHD, when I try to go watch a show that was partially watched, none of the shows retain their progress and there is no "resume" option, only start over. The 722 used to remember show progress even after I power reset the EHD.

Is this a know bug and is anyone else experiencing this?

Maybe it would be easier to get a different Hard Drive
