This is a quote from a e-mail I received from EPIX this morning..."Support for logging in to EPIX.com and EPIX apps is coming soon".

So on the free preview front I asked my friend who works at the local call center and he checked on it and reported back. AT&T will offer free previews of Epix in July around the time Pennyworth premieres. (We figured that would happen :D) Both D* and U-Verse will get a free preview but the lengths will vary. He said that these may change but this is what they currently have scheduled as far as free previews for Epix goes. He told me if he sees any changes he will give me a heads up.

    DirecTV Epix - 1 Month Free Preview July 19 - August 17, 2019
    U-Verse Epix - Weekend Free Preview July 25 - 28, 2019

I wasn't going to order it, but I saw the promo for Perpetual Grace and looks like it's right up my alley so I did online chat. I also snagged the Starz for $6.99/month, but how long does it take for those channels to show up? All I see is the order screen.

You should have called instead of using online chat. When I ordered Epix last Sunday I kept the CSR on the phone until I was sure the Epix channels were active on my account.

They all came on a few minutes ago, so all is good. I hate talking on the phone, especially since I have a cold and sound like a little kid, that's why I did chat.

I always use favorites but I temporarily changed it to CIG for the “Movies extra” free preview. It’s a real pain to modify the favorites list. It’s very laggy and buggy.

I’m shocked playboy channels show up in CIG. Really surprised there haven’t been any complaints or lawsuits on that.

Perpetual Grace looks interesting, it reminds me of "The Son" on AMC.

You can hide "adult channels" in parental controls.

I always felt that way too but lately I find the chat so much easier to multitask with and if they don't give me a fair deal I just stop the chat and chat back or call back later, but I have been getting to loyalty quickly through chat and getting everything I want and more. Plus you can always have the person hold on chat until you see the channels.

Does anyone know when, 4k does become available on Epix for DirecTV will it be only by streaming . I hope it might be made available by linear channel or at least on demand . This would be a definite add on then for me since, 4k streaming even with decent internet is too much buffering.

Right now all 4K, even on demand, comes from satellite on DIRECTV, unless something has changed recently. They don’t have any 4K streaming right now.

Sadly there's not much 4K to be had besides streaming, even though almost every TV you buy is a 4K one. What is really funny is they are advertising 8K TV's .

I would love to see more 4K myself, but I think we'll be in for a long wait. Networks don't seem to be in any rush to upgrade.

4k is growing but it's still slow

There will be a lot of world cup soccer in 4k next month

March there was a ton of 4k events

So more and more events are going 4k

Thanks for that info though I was referring to my experience using Vudu through my LG TV app even wired connected and it is not a good experience . Though have read that Directv which I have but only have viewed occasionally some sports on 105 &106 channel also have watched or recorded shows from 104 too. Still will make the jump for Epix when, 4k becomes available to us on DirecTV.

So Epix 4k content is delivered entirely through their Epix or Epix Now apps its not available via on demand and there is no linear channel. Here is their FAQ all about their 4k offerings. Once all the TV Everywhere stuff is sorted out D* customers will be able to access their 4k content via the Epix app.

Thanks for answer so, it seems that 4k for Epix available only on their app when it becomes available. Which, is a bummer since it means streaming only for their 4k.

Set up several recordings myself. I dont know about great but it has been good and I look forward to seeing what it offers in the future here. VOD would be nice. Abulity to restart stuff that is already in the middle of airing. Cant wait. I like that the price is realistic and not another $13.99 or more just because its a premium package. I think launching on DirecTV they should of done a free preview now to get people interested in adding it.
