Epix doesn't have a 4k linear feed right now the only way to watch their content in 4k Ultra HD is to use their app and a supporting device such as Apple TV 4k, Roku that supports 4k, etc. All questions/answers about their 4k content can be found here. From my understanding unless your LG TV is running the Android TV software you most likely will need a streaming device to access their app. If you are an Apple user (i.e. iPhone/iPad/Mac) an Apple TV isn't a bad investment as it opens up a world of possibilities with Apple's eco-system. Alternatively if you currently have a game console like an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 you can use one of them to use the app. Currently the CSRs just have the same information that we have that Epix is available on DirecTV for $5.99/mo on channels 558-560. They won't know any information about Epix on Demand or access to Epix.com/Epix app until the feature launches. The only extra info they have right now is when a free preview will take place. If you subscribe to Epix through DirecTV your best bet to gain access to Epix.com & the Epix app is to email Epix Customer Support, identify yourself as a DirecTV subscriber and ask when will D* be available. In my case and from what I've seen in others they have been giving out VIP/Trial accounts until D* is added to the list officially.
