For the first time in 10 years or so, I had the error code 722 pop up on my receiver. Had to go online and refresh the receiver. No biggie. No problems the rest of the day. This morning though, it was back requiring me to go back online and reset. I browsed twitter and saw a bunch of other people having the same issue. Odd. Anyone else experiencing this?

Haven't seen this problem but I know yesterday there was some satellite issues causing tons of freeze frame and pixilation.

I had this happen on Friday night. Watching tv one moment and the next moment all of my channels were showing the 722 error code. The weird thing I discovered, as I was briefly troubleshooting, was that the glitch only affected my HR-54 and the minis, but not my two older HR-24s. I didn't lose any channels on the HR-24's. Refresh fixed it.

Besides Twitter, go to the AT&T (Directv) Community Forum. There are numerous open discussions about this problem under various titles. It started a couple days ago and is apparently a software issue. Refreshing your service online reportedly may or may not fix the issue. Best way to fix the issue is to call AT&T. But be forewarned, be prepared to spent a very long time on hold, followed by spending a long time attempting to communicate with foreign based CSR who has no idea what they're talking about. Think of the experience as the opposite of calling a suicide prevention line.

. Thanks. Yeah, I'm dreading having to call a CSR.

Have had this problem 4 times this weekend. Refreshing the receivers have worked twice, the other two times I had to reset my Genie 2.
Called a CSR this evening on the 4th occurrence which was a complete waste of my time. The only thing they know how to do is send the same refresh signal.

It’s been happening to me since Friday morning to my HR54 when I woke up to the error message. I called the automated system and it cleared up. Happened again yesterday and today, called the automated line and it cleared it both times. I hope it gets fixed soon. I join the line of those not wanting to deal with a CSR.

And it just happened again to me about an hour ago. Luckily online refresh fixed the problem this time. This isn't acceptable.

The problem appears to be fixed. I’ve had no 722 message at all today. Thank goodness.
