The Free Agent Pro 750 arrived today and it works. More as I get a bunch of recording done.

Good deal. It's nice to have some "elbow" room.

It booted up and ran, but I just did two recordings and neither one worked. I tried 4 or 5 more and they don't work. They come up showing end of program, and ask to delete or not. I cannot rewind live TV or use any trick plays.

It looks to me like the recording function is messed up with the eSATA drive.

I just moved the eSATA to the HR20-700 and am booting it up there. I'll see if the drive works on that machine and report back.

Eek. Makes you remember that eSATA is still not officially supported.

See my long post in the issues thread and please provide some feedback to me.

I'll not post here any longer on the eSATA...it will be in the issues thread.

Yeah, I knew it was going to be experimental, so I'm not worried...I'm more concerned that I might have a flakey 750 gig drive...read my other post. I'm about 45 minutes in on the -700 with the eSATA and it continues to work...I never got more than 9 minutes with the -200.
