ESPN will launch ESPNews HD, its third HD service March 30

As part of the launch of the channel, ESPNews will maximize the 16:9 viewing area,
including new space for graphic sponsorship placement opportunities.

The graphic, which normally crawls along the bottom of the televised portion of the
channel, will instead wrap around the top, left and bottom of the HD screen. The HD
Sideline will offer the display of textual information, headshots, news and scores,
while delivering a window to accommodate all video highlights in 16:9 HD. ...

    Thanks for the info Nick.

This is the channel that I have been waiting for the most. I was hoping it would move up some but I guess I will just have to wait. :(

Wow.. sounds like with all of the scrolling graphics ESPNews HD will have, it will look just like Bloomberg TV. I call it information overload.

Honestly, ESPNews would be one of the last channels I would long for in HD.

If we stay in sports... I would much rather see ESPNU, CSTV, and even ESPN Classic in HD before ESPN News.
