Ever since Voom left it has left a big void for my 58 inch Plasma TV. No more eye candy from the likes of Gallery HD etc etc. Cant name all those channels off the top of my head. But it was a great escape from the endless violence and misery we see on dish's and DTV offerings. I like to see the world in all its glory with nature and man made creations but have no means to that now that VOOM is gone. Well there are some but its hit or miss quality HD, mostly misses.

Where do people who like arts get to see it in HD like before with VOOM?

So much junk on the tube. Why Voom did you leave us???:(

I miss Gallery HD too. :(

I had some stuff on the 622, but lost it when it crapped out and I had to replace.

Yes, it may be flailing a deceased equine, but I used to turn to the VOOM
"Equator" HD channel to demo my new 53" Panny HD TV for friends back
    in the early HD days.

If you have and SD slot in your TV download some free HD pictures from the internet and play them back using the TV software, thats what I do, or you came buy Gallary HD SD cards.

heh! I figured most people have seen HD by now, I don't demo it to anyone.... but when I do want to put something cool up when people are over I turn on my media center or ps3

Showing additionally compressd HD doesn't impress anyone.

I remember showing HD before it was additionally compressed and it blew people away.

Now the only way to impress people is to show them Blu-ray.

Sunrise Earth still looks pretty fantastic on Discovery Channel HD.

Visuals are great, but I find Sunrise Earth disorienting. For an actual example, they were showing a pond with nary a ripple on the surface, yet the audio was a babbling brook.

The latest VW commericals are killer eye candy. The contrast and black levels of my Plasma really pop during the latest VW Routan commerical.

The Toyota Corolla has damm good commericials as well.
