On the HR20 remote does anyone else's volume control need to be pressed a single time to increase the volume level by one? I can't just hold down the volume button to increase to a desired level......I have to keep pressing over and over to increase the volume....

Just wanted to know if this is the way that it's designed or does it have something to do with my TV????

I can just hold mine up or down. Are you using the original remote or is it one that you programmed? I assume that you are using the original.

Most likely a function of your TV. Perhaps it doesn't respond to rapid repeated "volume" commands. Does the same thing happen with the TV's original remote control?

On mine I had to reprogram the remote a second time. The first time I programed it, it acted just like yours.
I reprogrammed it again and I can just press and hold volume up or down
and has worked well ever since.
try it and let us know if it works.

I had this same issue when I 1st got started and it drove me nuts. The solution for me was to pick 1 of the other codes in the list when programming the remote. For example, let's say it lists 3 codes and the 1st 1 worked for you, so you set it with that. Go back in and try the other codes and see if it worked. I have a Samsung and had to use the 2nd code.

Ditto for me and my Sammy LN-S4095D. 2nd code worked.

I've seen this on quite a few Samsung TVs. As the others have said, try the 2nd code listed. If you have a Samsung, that should fix you up.

    Lancaster,...
You were right about the topic of this post....

    Just kidding.
One press of my volume button moves the volume one bar. Hold it longer and it moves more.. Don't know if that answers your question.

Ditto on my Samsung 4273 - first code did the one push at a time thing, second code and it works properly.

YEP it must be a Samsung thing. With my Samsung hls-5687 I found the EXACT same thing. Second code worked.

    Lifesaver!

I have had the 'single button push, volume up just one syndrome' since I bought the TV & HR20 in December.

I just tried using the second code from the list and my Sammy and RC32RF are working great with holding down the volume button...no more one volume at a time.

    Many thanks!

This could DEFINITELY be FAQ material, IMO.

Definitely not a dumb question and I think that the title needs to be changed so more people will find this...'specially us Sammy owners. :)

To anyone: Is that a mod task or can the thread starter make that happen?

Ok maybe it wasn't so dumb:lol: Now I feel better that not only mine is fixed but others are actually fixing there Sammy's also!

Not a major problem but it was down right annoying!
