Final bill itemization?

    I canceled service. I sent the box back on the weekend. When I go to my account online how come I can't find the itemized charges/bill? All I see is the total owing.

    And I use to get my statements sent to me via email. Does directv NOT send me my last statement with balance owing?

    Did you try looking under the recent activity tab? That's where things show up, prior to a statement getting created.

    But the main page says XXX pay immediately.

    I dont even know what the charges are to get to that number lol

    Ill have to call them later and have them send me a statement.

    Hmmm and there is no online statement or anything they emailed to you? I think they sent me a final paper statement when I had to close my father-in-laws account. That was several years ago, but that is what I recall.

    Nope. I find it very strange. I cant find the statement online but yet it gives me the balance owing.

    Perhaps they haven't received the receiver yet?

    But then why would they have a total there but yet no statement/charges.

    Oh well ill call later.

    The only time what you are describing happens to me is the day that the statement actually processes. And then either late that day or the next day, I can see the statement online.

    Perhaps you cannot view recent activity because you do not have an active account.

    Your disconnect statement is generated 7 days after you have disconnected and mailed to you.

    But i moved lol, why not shown online? and pay online?

    And very strange, a friend returned the receiver and the shipping label was directing the package to ONTARIO.

    Weird

    Ontario, CA...gets people all the time. It is not shipping to Canada. :)

    Hahaha wait until I talk to my friend who shipped it. I told him its improbable but he wasn't insistent.

    I guess he didn't look very closely. I sure hope he shipped it properly. :scratch:

    I just got off the phone with directv and I do find the termination process very strange. They do send a paper bill to the address of service. why not just email it? like I have been doing for two plus years? They know I moved out of the country.

    Anyways apparently he is sending the final bill via email within 24hrs.

    He didn't even mention if they got the receiver yet. Oh well.

    Did you have paperless billing set up when your account was active?

    That is the only way to get itemized statements online. Otherwise, you can only see the amount due.

    I think I mentioned in a previous post but yes i have had paperless billing for well over a year. anyways they got the receiver about 5 days ago. They told me to call back one week from that date. They actually owe me money.

    We will see what happens on Thursday.
