"Can you break it?"
Reword this part:
"There have been
some minor glitches - such as the time zone being displayed incorrectly - but nothing that would be a show-stopper. On December 12th,
DirecTV pushed down the first - and only - software update seen for the R16. Firmware 0x10C2 was delivered, and the time zone bug
hasn't been seen since."
Just mention that have been nearly no issues reported... and that it has been a solid performer.
Don't go into details about the software versions, when they were sent, ect..
"This indicates that DirecTV-on-Demand is not slated for the standard-definition DVR platforms."
"This probably means that DirecTV OnDemand is not slated for the R16"
In "Little Background"
The first units were received on October 26th (the same day Apple released Mac OS X
Leopard - coincidence?)
Lose the date... I know you want to comment on Leopard... but we can't have the specific date....
Other then that...
Looks good to me. Email it to Earl.
Edited: after incorporating Earl's comments.
Revision #2. How's this?
Last thing I want to ask for...
Is the actual image file of just the R16... so when I post the first look, I can have the image in the first post.
Very well done...
You guys are going to make my next review, look like crap...
I have this one - I'm sure someone has a better shot
Once you open up the First Look, I can go ahead and post all the images that are in the First Look, in the thread. It's hard to see them in the PDF in any detail ...
Excellent Job I think that it is ready for showtime.
Looks great, good job guys.
Good Job everyone! I can't wait to see the reaction when this is released.
Page 3 has the software version & date, not sure if that's allowed in the screenshots, based on Earl's comments.
Why is that, anyway, if I may ask?
It should be fine as it is the current.
As for why... because DirecTV doesn't want any information of what went on during the trials out in the public.
OK. What happened during the trials, stays in the trials. Gotcha.
Dennis...fantastic job. The document looks great!
Excellent job Dennis Thanks for your skills
