I am not going to worry about the temperature of the AM21. I would say one of the goals of the field trial would be to see if it has overheating problems.

BTW, I also have two HR20s stacked without any additional cooling measures and the reported temperatures do not seem to be any higher than what they were before they were stacked.

Considering how short it is, I hope that this is a sign that DIRECTV is moving more towards electronic guides instead of printed manuals.

Looks like a nice piece of equipment and very easy to install.

I had to pass on this round of testing but you guys have fun (I know you will). :)

Yep, me too. I'm kind of playing the role of the "Idiot User" on this one, for a couple reasons. The biggest is that I basically AM an "OTA Idiot" - don't know much about it in practice, never used digital OTA, don't even have an antenna (yet!). I'm a-gonna figger it out as I go! :)

And two, I'm gonna stack the AM21 on top of the HR21, and put the Slingbox Pro on top of that, just like it's on top of the HR21 now.

I currently have a DVD player sitting on top of the HR21. I intend to sandwich the AM21 between the HR21 and the DVD player and see what happens. In other words, use it just like I would if I were not a CE field trial participant.
