Me too...though as I age, I trust my middle-aged eyes less than I used to
I think you mis-understood me (I know about Thursdays). I'm asking where in the guide they see it says it lights up tomorrow. At least two different people here have said that.
I dont believe any of them if they had inside info they would be sharing it and not holding back.I only trust it when i see it on and my HRxx is showing its on.So it is coming tomorrow i hope.
Yes, I'm not seeing that either. It's showing the HD channel on now (which it obviously isn't), and nothing different about tomorrow.
I think people were just extrapolating from the channel being in the guide that it would start tomorrow on the (new) normal DirecTV day & time for additions.
Satellite Racer is an "insider" who works for DirecTV.
its on the online guide @ directvs website not on your recievers guide.
it might be on if you have the right kind of access card. I remember when the Sky channels from the UK "accidently" leaked onto the online guide.
But maybe it may be coming on tomorrow and hes just holding back until tomorrow to say he couldnt say anythin until it was launched.
I find it sexist that nobody wants to see Charles Krauthammer in HD... and in a skirt!
I'm going to be ...... :barf:
Earlier this week, before the change in the on line guide, Satelliteracer said in his HD Festivus thread that there might be a new national channel added at the end of the week. The "end of the week" sounded like Friday to me and the "might" seemed to suggest that adding it this week depended on technical issues.
...and he's been quite since I asked him 'Friday?'. To all other questions he said 'No'.
Same problem... I changed the DPI setting on my Vista PC to 120 and using Internet Explorer 8 Beta, I was able to set the browser window to 125%... phew do my eyes feel better
Just use Firefox 3 and zoom zoom zoom!
Krauthammer is paralyzed from the waist down. He was injured in a car accident while attending Harvard Medical school. He ended up completing his MD while rehabilitating. Most people don't know that about him, but he is confined to a wheel chair.
Very interesting man that has worked for Presidents on both sides of the aisle (Carter and Reagan). He was a speechwriter for Mondale as well.
Interesting guy. Whether anyone agrees with his politics or views is one thing, but he overcame a very serious accident and didn't give up on life. Became a doctor, became Chief of Residency at Mass. General, and of course his life in the political spectrum.
Just a FYI
In that case he says nothing.
Satelliteracer, does your total ignoring mentioning "FNC HD" in your response mean anything?
Thursday became the new Wednesday. Perhaps Friday will become the new Thursday. Or not.
It's gone from the guide.............
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted............
C.K. is one of my favorite commentators - his pithy comments and sharp observations are great. He's his own man and rarely follows any party's talking points. Thanks for the bio, I didn't know the whole story.
