Still waiting for some 11th hour good news hear, but if the tactics used are any indication, it doesn't sound particularly promising...

The only thing I'll miss is Arizona State football, and probably basketball eventually. Everything else can be found by other means...

The comments at the bottom of this blog indicate that NASCAR fans are seeing through Fox's BS and would actually rather lose some channels than have DirecTV have to raise rates.

Well Nascar fans should still have access to the Nascar Hotpass which personally I feel is a better viewing option for Nascar. But then again I am not a true fan

I had Dish last year when they had their dispute with Fox, now I'm back with D* and timed it just right for another one... sigh.

Anyway, Dish offered some other channels for free as compensation; any word if D* will do something similar? Here's what I got last year:
Noteable to me is the other regional sports channels that will still carry some of the same content we'll be missing on the regional FSNs. However, they didn't give the RedZone channel for free so I still had to pay for the Sports Pak with Dish, I'll be cancelling when I wake up tomorrow for D* cause there is no reason to have it without Fox Sports Arizona for me (For UA not ASU Baldmaga :)

The Big difference there is Dish just did it without being called, and with DirecTV you'll get freebies only if you call them. Based on past performance as I remember it.

I could also be wrong, if so, anyone want to correct me?

I just watched the update video on keep my nets and it says that they are offering the same deal as all the other providers and would keep these channels on at the same price till they worked out a deal with Directv and Directv said no . That is a bunch of s--t Directv saying no to that Directv don't give a s--t about there customers ! And it said that some people will loose there Fox network feed in addition to the ones they are about to drop . That will be it for me .Directv has had no problem jumping my bill up every year and chargeing for every little thing ! Fox says Directv has paid the same price for almost 10 years . I will look at what I paid for Directv 10 years a go and I bet it's more than 40% more now . So if Directv has paid the same to fox for 10 years why does Directv jump our price up all the time every year or more ? This fox problem should have never been told to us because Directv has more than been paid enough by all of it's customers with it's already high priced programming and just looked at it as the price to do business like they say about us when they over charge us 50 million customers !

So, you believe Fox's propaganda sites, but not DirecTV's?

There's three sides to every story. There's one side (Fox), there's the other (DirecTV), and then there's the truth.

Fox would love to leave the channels up. They would just string along the negotiations until Fox News and the Fox locals are up for renegotiation, then include them all in on one deal which would give Fox the upper hand and most of the power.

Instead, Directv threatens to drop the channels, which gives Directv an upper hand in negotiations now and, most importantly, keeps Fox from combining all the channels in one deal later.

I'm not happy about losing some channels I watch, but I fully support Directv for doing this.

Fox is trying to combine them all now anyway, so I really don't see how it makes a difference in that regard.
