The OP mentioned ST not his local affiliate. Why would D* be getting all of these signals from a local affiliate and if so which affiliate?

They aren't. I was just throwing that in there for those who also view local CBS/FOX games on their local channels.

It has everything to do with the broadcaster (CBS/FOX) and/or local affiliates.

It can be a problem with only the broadcaster/network or only the local affiliate if you are watching a local game or a site issue with the stadium.....or a combination of all those things. It is not an issue with D* or ST.

Fox broadcasts always have artifacts, whether it be NFL/MLB or any other sport. CBS & others for the most part exceed Fox's HD quality.

I've always thought that CBS HD picture is a lot darker that FOX so FOX looks better to me

I noticed the same thing. Sometimes when CBS does highlights from a FOX feed it is inferior to their broadcasts. It seemed like last year the picture quality was better for the FOX football games. This year seems worse to me. I don't know what it is.

It's definitely FOX. And it goes beyond football. The ALCS PQ on FOX isn't anywhere near as good as the NLCS on tbs.

It really stinks that FOX has the World Series.

PS - The PQ on WXTF(FOX) Philly is exactly the same OTA or on DirecTV. This is a FOX owned and operated station, so you'd assume they have the best equipment in the #4 DMA.
