    Hi Civrock.

I must disagree with you here.

Historically, all English football was played at 15:00 UK time. It was scheduled that way for a reason. It was the perfect time to allow travelling fans to get to their side's away matches - and still get home the same day. No matter where in England they were.

Television contracts moved some start times so more matches could be televised.

To this day however, many / most games are still played at 15:00, hence the desire for the overflow channel.

For example, 6 games will be played at 15:00 ( 10:00 EDT ) opening day.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/fixtures/default.stm

The overflow channel allows us to see an extra game each week.

    Cheers.

Edit: By the way, to this day 15:00 EPL matches are NEVER shown on TV in England.
This is to protect the live gate of all the lower divisions who still hold all their matches at 15:00.

That is the point I am almost at, recently I saw one of the trinations games in HD off of skynet and it was like the first time I saw Hockey in HD which was damned near religious. I hate missing the games though and quite frankly I don't know of a way to get HD versions, so I pay my $15 and mutter in my beer...

blows but it is what it is.

correct me if i am wrong, but to use bittorrent you have to open up the security on your computer, etc . . . correct? personally i am not willing to expose all my data to hackers, just for an HD feed.

    but that is just me.

sooner or later they will have to resolve their current issues (lack of HD, $15 fee for FS+, etc), and i will patiently wait until then. at least now we know the delay isn't due to lack of bandwidth, now it is just a contract issue. sooner or later common sense will prevail, because this isn't comcast we are dealing with.

Seems strange to say that in America we see more live EPL than they do in England! But it is true! We may complain about the broadcast quality but we are able to see our favorite teams on a weekly basis where as the folks in England need to attend the games live!

Fox Soccer Channel to broadcast Ligue 1 games, according to epltalk.com...

"Also, the good news is that Ligue 1, after not being available in the States last season, is back and it’s new home appears to be Fox Soccer Channel as well as FoxSoccer.tv. Saturday’s game between PSG and St. Etienne should be a wonderful match to watch between two of the most famous clubs in France."

Correct me if I am wrong but FS+ is not going HD on Wednesday correct?
Based on that I am not too happy the England game on the same day is on that channel.
I know they have to something worthy on there to stop people canceling the $15 a month but to do this and put re-runs on FSC is rather irritating to me.

Interesting the ESPN2 has "To be announced" for 7:30 am EST next Saturday with a block of time just right for the EPL game and FSC doesn't have anything listed for that time slot (except infomercials).

    OOPS, my bad. Fixed it.

There are a few (mostly the nearby Columbus Crew) that are not always in HD on Direct Kick. And when they are, its the away team feed. The wife has complained about the commentaters being biased for the other team.

The website epltalk.com is showing Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City on ESPN2 at 7:45 am on Saturday. That should be a good match, along with Liverpool vs. Arsenal on Fox Soccer Channel at 11:00 am Sunday.

Really hoping FS+ gets added to Sports Pack at some point. I know that is where some cable companies have placed it. Just can't spend $15 for one channel.
