Or at least add it to the sports pack but I agree on making it a full time HD channel.

While that's true for me there's rarely if ever any games on Fox Soccer Plus that I'm wanting to see. I do like the RedZone style look in around UEFA games they do but not enough to justify subscribing to FSP just for that.

What is the deal with Fox Soccer Plus? Aren't all of the top Rugby Union competitions and international soccer competitions covered elsewhere, but this lone channel still costs $15 per month? It looks like the only programming I may be interested in on this channel is Aussie Rules Football, but not for $15 per month. Some of those games are shown on Fox Sports 2.

It is in the normal sports tier programming for some cable providers.

Can't speak to rugby union but many of the fox soccer properties such as Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Bundesliga have many games going simultaneously so they'll place games at the same time on FS1, FS2 and Fox Soccer Plus and sometimes some of the Fox RSNs. Additionally, occasionally even when the games are in an exclusive window, they'll put a Bundesliga on Fox Soccer Plus. Scottish Premier League, which Fox has rights to is pretty much exclusive to Fox Soccer Plus. But given that for champions league group stage (for instance) Fox Soccer Plus is going to have the 5th choice game (after FS1, FS2, the game given to the Fox RSNs and the one game per matchday sub licensed to ESPN), Fox Soccer Plus is a tough sell at $15 per month, even for soccer fanatics. As you say, some carriers have it in a sports pack rather than a la carte. Time Warner in some markets, for instance.

I subscribe to FS+ ... if I cancel it, will I still get it free until 10-25?

This is an old thread that was bumped. The 10/25 date is from long weekend in 2015.

One other thing that keeps me from subscribing is that only the actual live airing is shown in HD; all other programming -- including repeats of originally live games -- is in SD.

Does anyone know if DIRECTV authenticates Fox Soccer Plus on Fox Sports Go? It's not showing during the preview but is available for other providers, in HD, which sort of offers a less-than-perfect solution for games in sd on linear tv.

Fox Soccer Plus is showing up with an option for one month free for me today. http://www.directv.com/sports/soccer

I'm secretly hoping that any Fox / DirecTV Now negotiations that have been hinted at somehow get this moved to Sports Pack, but I'm not holding my breath.
