No, for the most part I enjoy the few channels I do have, just feel I don't get my money's worth. No way would I pay $15.99 extra a month for the premiums, just don't see the vaule.

Then why the need to call the premium channels a bunch of junk? As I stated before what's one man's candy may be another man's poison. If one is a movie buff then PPV and the premium channels are for you. Same theory applies to the sports channels. What I and others are finding it hard to understand is why wou stay with DirecTV if your that dissatisfied?

As you just said, one man's candy may be another man's poison. Guess I bitch about premiums and junk like you bitch about E, BBC, and all the others we dont have as being junk.

Why is it that every time I log into any thread it's basically one poster Arguing with other poster.

Never bitched about E or BBC. If you took the time to get your facts right and read my previous posts on this thread you would have seen that my HD wish list consists of BBCA HD, FMC HD, and TCM HD.

I am far from a movie buff but I sub to the premiums. I love sports and can see decent boxing matches, Inside the NFL, and pretty good MMA shows without shelling out $40-$50 for 1 3 hour event which I would not do 98% of the time. I sub to all the channels because already having Sports Pack, HBO, and Showtime I may as well add the other two also. With a 6 year old Starz has Disney movies and a lot of kid friendly movies in general. Cinemas may have 1 or 2 my wife wants to see also. So depending on your viewpoint and likes/dislikes it may make sense to sub to them.

I really appreciate the freeview weekend. It gave me a chance to reaffirm why I spend money on Netflix and not premium channels. With Netflix I get the movies I want in high bitrate Blu Ray and the original aspect ratio. With the premiums, the films are lower bitrate and cropped (from the many that I examined) and you are limited to what they want to show you.
