Now that we are no longer occuping Iraq, what do we call it?
Here are a couple I came up with...
    • Invited Security Forces
    • U.S. forces in Iraq (credit to Jon Stewart, now our soldiers are no longer occupying Iraq, they're just standing around with guns)
    • Military advisors
    • Caretaker Forces
    • liberation persuaders
    • Republican Guard
    • Crusaders
    • Permanent Residents
    • Conflict Resolution Facilitators
    • Armed tourists
    • Military Guest Workers
    • Coalition Peacekeepers
    • Courtesy officers
    • Post-occupation program-related activity monitors
    • Former occupants
    • Targets
That is all that I can find.

Maybe a different punch line but I thought Stewart's was more along the lines of "armed tourists".

The irony is all the above "liberal media outlets" are pretty quick to clearly state we are no longer the "occupiers". But they haven't come up yet with a new PC moniker. Maybe "LEGAL COMBATANTS?":D

What are we in Afganistan? It is the same deal now... I would expect that the news from Iraq to start dropping off fast (well maybe kept up until the election)... How often do you hear of the fighting in Afganistan even though it goes on every day?

I expect things in Iraq to get pretty interesting: I do not expect that the Iraqi security forces will be as careful as the Americans not to upset anyone...
