So, has anyone e-mailed D* about this and received any response?
sent an email this morning... no response. hopefully sat-racer's contact will take care of this and we can all put this to rest.
I may be a dummy but how do you tell what resolution a channel is broadcast in?
I have a H20 receiver.
set your H20 to Native Mode: On and then whenever you turn channels, the receiver changes the output to match the programming on the channel you are viewing.
Ok but how can you tell what the resolution is ?
Well I am watching the Sabres / Kings on FSN West and it doesn't look like 1080i to me. Not full screen.
In native mode on the front of the receiver you will see what resolution is being output. Also many TV's display input resolution.
Thanks Satelliteracer. You may also want to mention that Fox Business Channel HD supposed to be in 720p. It is in 1080i now.
Anyone turn on the channels this morning? I didn't see satelliteracer's comments until now and didn't watch anything this morning.
i checked it around 8am and it was still 720p.
I just checked and on my HR20-700 621 (MSGHD), 624 (FSNYHD) and 625 (SNYHD) are all coming in at 1080i. 359 (FBN) is still 1080i instead of 720p.
Nice, I might need to fly out to California and buy satelliteracer a beer.
Silly question, but you are running Native On and 720p is a choice?
What does ESPN show for you?
They are in 1080i as of this morning. Run in native mode and you will see the changes.
Now, what do we want next?
Umm CW11 and My9 in HD.
yeah.. i run all 3 of my HD IRDs in native mode. i probably just tuned into the channel before the change was made.
thank you sooo much sat-racer!!!
I said "we."
I don't live in New Yawk.
Fix FBNHD resolution. It is supposed to be 720p and right now it is 1080i.
Can we spend our meager sway on something important?
