Two-buck gas is a dream in California. I paid $2.89 at Costco on Maui before returning my rental car on 12/13. That was about a buck cheaper than at the regular stations there. A couple days later I filled up at Costco in California and paid $2.85, about 40 cents less than most regular stations. We only drive about 6000 miles per year. at 20 mpg; that's only 300 gallons. I can live with that extra cost. At least I don't have to shovel snow in the winter or air-condition my house in the summer.

Nobody shovels snow anymore here. We like to play with our snowblowers. I'd miss that.

I spent two winters in Corry, PA. We got the full lake-effect snow starting before Halloween. City cleared sidewalks for us but not our driveways. Left there in 1970 for California. In winter it was easier to walk to work, about a half-mile away, than to shovel out the driveway.
