Ain't that the truth!
Seems ignorance knows no bounds.....
Actually I bought my truck because Dennis Leary told me I was going to get 20+ MPG. I get 13.
But the new 2016 F-150 is coming soon with a new 2.7L Ecoboost. Will be taking it for a test drive. But I have a friend with a new 2015 Chevy with the 6.2L and he claims 18+. Not sure how, but I have seen the display on his dash that shows it.
1.79 a gallon in Denton tx
I feel like a sucker every time I hear the new national average gas price but find that I have to pay a few cents more.
Cheapest gas in OKC right now is $1.57 for ethanol gas.
I paid $2.29 for ethanol-free premium at the Oncue Express in Midwest City.
No alcohol goes into my vehicle if I can help it.
It's still high in WA, but with my Safeway card (40 cent discount) I paid less than $2 for the first time in quite a while.
My last two fillups (Indiana) were $1.999 just before Christmas and New Years. I saw $1.889 today and wish I needed gas.
Not complaining one bit....although this price was after a $.30/gal rewards card discount
On Friday I filled up at a Mobil-Exxon station in Jersey Village, Texas from an 8th of a tank, and the total cost was $27.99. Not too long ago that would have cost me well in excess of $60!
Gas is around $2.299 here, but diesel (I drive a VW TDI ) just this week got to below $3.00 / gallon
We're down to $1.99 a gallon here for regular. That's the cost for cash, they add eleven cents for credit cards, a practice that I'd like to see stopped.
I noticed today that regular was around $1.79 at most stations, cash or credit same price.
Diesel was $1.30+ higher - what a gouging for a byproduct of gasoline production!!
Southern Illinois locations.
Down to $2.01.9 here half way between Washington DC and Baltimore, so filling up my 10.5 gallon Toyota Corolla gas tank cost me just over $21.00. A nice improvement from the $100.00+ it was costing me to fill up my Astrovan, which got less than 1/3 the gas mileage of my Toyota and therefore less range per tank.
Don't get too excited - the pain will return soon
There is a local furniture store, Gallery Furniture, that is currently advertising that if you buy $7,000 or more of furniture by ?? date and it oil goes back to or above $85 dollars per barrel on Dec 31 of this year that he will return your purchase price in full.
He did something similar to this in the past few years and it cost him about 2 million dollars. I don't remember what he was betting on at that time. I feel sure he has bought some insurance for this situation.
Lots of financial experts disagree with your assessment. I hope you are wrong!!
'nothing personal, it is just business'!
NJ legislature is talking about raising the taxes on gas. They never miss an opportunity to get their hands in our pockets. Will they do away with the proposed taxes if the price goes back up again? Sure, this is NJ!
$1.50/gal is the cheapest price in OKC at this time (that's for the ethanol-laced cheap stuff).
I last paid $2.159 for pure (no ethanol) premium grade gas at the Midwest City I-40 & Douglas OnCue Express.
Honestly, it'd be a great time to raise gas taxes. The infrastructure needs it.
The tax has nothing to do with the price of gas, just miles driven.
I always belive that we should have had a higher tax like in Europe. Currently the price of gas is £1.33 a liter in London which comes out to about to about $7.60 a gallon. http://www.expatistan.com/price/gas/london
