I got DirecTV installed a month ago. I have a Genie 2 connected through Ethernet. It will not stay connected that way for more than two or three days at the time.

I can connect it through wireless and it seems to stay connected better. I would rather have it hardwired.

Does this issue sound familiar or is it something in my network I need to troubleshoot?

    Thanks

Something is wrong, you should have a more stable connection hardwired.

I assume you've rebooted both your router and Genie.

Try assigning your Genie a permanent IP address in your router's setup section.
