I just upgraded to a new Genie 2 and have four TVs with a total of four minis. I pay something like $3.99 a month for the whole home networking service. That's when I had standalone DVRs. Now that it's all Genie and minis, can I cancel the whole home?

Sorry, NO. Any Genie model requires Whole Home Service.

Thanks, Jimmie... kinda what I was afraid of. Thanks for confirming.

The current fee for an advanced receiver is 25 so you paying 23 ( Hi Definition, DVR, and Whole Home Service) is a bit of a discount really.

The advanced receiver fee has been $15 for the last couple years, with the "first receiver free" discount eliminated, for an equivalent of $22.

It looks like they changed it again

First receiver is free again when trying to sign up as new
