Genie Doesn't Show In iPad App

    Got Genie HR44 installed last Saturday. Everything works but...Genie does not show in the iPad app. My other receiver does show
    In the iPad. Also can not record show from Directv web site to Genie, but can do it with the other receiver. Spoke to Tech support
    But no solution yet. Any ideas?

    Go to settings in the iPad app. Where you can validate receivers, if the HR44 is there, validate it.
    If not there, go to the HR44 Info screen in Menu/Settings and pull up its IP address

    Then enter the iP address into the Ipad app and validate it.

    In the iPad app, the old receivers that were deactivated are showing up, putting the ip address of the genie in any of
    those does nothing. The iPad app should be pulling the fresh and updated data from Directv.

    Yeah, it sounds like it's not updating for some reason. Have you tried (or be willing to try) deleting and reinstalling the app?

    Also, make sure you have enabled external access in the HR44's whole home system menu.
