My HR44-700 no longer has the TV Shows App, I no longer have "Genie Recommends"

Anyone else missing this feature? Any tips to get it back?

Perform a CLEARMYBOX on your HR44-700. Everything should reload within 24 hours.

    Hey there

I was wondering if you got this working agian. I just signed up a month ago but I still don't have it. I even did a CLEARMYBOX. Tv shows appeared but then 2 hours later it disappeared. It's been a couple weeks so I did another CLEARMYBOX today and so far the app is there but it says Updating Check back. Problem is channel 1998 still isn't in my guide.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas. :)

Give everything 24 hours to reload after performing a CLEARMYBOX.

    Hey there

It's been over 24 hours now and the darn tv shows has disappeared again. This is how it happened last time and nothing ever changed.
From what I read there is basically nothing DIRECTV can do. I just really want to try this out.

I don't have my box plugged into the internet as we are way out in the country and the FAP of satellite internet just won't work.

I read many posts that internet is not needed for this to work but I figured I should mention it.

    Thanks.

If you still see nothing tomorrow, do a simple restart, rbr or menu, and give it another day.

Sometimes it can take up to 48 hours for everything to reload after performing a CLEARMYBOX. If it does not return after 48 hours reset your HR44-700 as inkahauts suggested.

    Hey there.

I have been away for a bit and just got back. I still don't have it so I will try a reset. Our power was out so the unit did restart. I just wonder about the reset button. What will it do? I don't want to loose my settings but the thing I am more worried about is Installation Verification. I don't have anyone to help me dither my dish and sure wouldnt want to get stuck on that screen. I am sure this won't happen as the receiver is still activated but I worry about these silly things. Thanks everyone.

A red button reset will not affect your settings or recordings. There are three ways to perform a menu reset. Option One: Restart Receiver - Is the same function as pressing the red reset button on the receiver. This option does not affect your settings or scheduled recordings......Option Two: Reset Defaults - Erases all your personal preference items, such as Parental Controls, Favorites, Language and scheduled recordings. It restores the receiver configuration to factory settings......Option Three: Reset Everything - Completely erases everything from system memory, except for satellite dish settings, and starts up like a new receiver. WARNING: All your recordings will be erased from the hard drive!

I’ve been away for a while too. No success with RBR or Cleamybox... I may try Option 2 when time permits. Thanks all.
