I currently have the following setup:
    • Swim LNB
    • HR21-200 Bonus Room
    • HR24-200 Family Room
    • H24-100 Bedroom
    • MRV enabled
    • Internet enabled

Was offerred an upgrade to Genie - would like to replace the H24 (non-DVR) with the Genie, giving me 9 tuners. Would I need a dish upgrade or SWiM upgrade? Not sure how to know what type of equipment needs to be upgraded.

Also, would it affect my DECA network cloud?

What about any existing splitters that I have in place?

    See attached setup diagram

You will need to replace the LNB in your dish with a conventional (non-SWM) LNB, then add an external SWM16. The SWM16 has two outputs, each of which can support up to 8 tuners (but all 16 will share in networking and whole-home). So you will need two coax from the SWM16, probably one to the Genie and the other to the remaining equipment. Existing splitters and DECA network should all work (other than the limit of 8 tuners per output).
