    I didn't think that George actually played "Goober" on Hee Haw (I very likely could be wrong on this) . I thought I always remember him being called his real name, George just as others were on the show (ie Roy, Buck, etc..)

    George also made a guest appearance on M*A*S*H as a doctor from the 8063rd on an exchange.

    I was going to do that...

    That and "Say hey to Goober" which was a bit with Gomer actually were the two things that came to mind when I think of Goober...

    Gee I'm not keeping up at all with the actors that I grew up watching deaths! This makes the second one I found out about on the forum.

    I liked Goober. Hopefully HULU picks up all of these shows. RIP George.
