I canceled D* after 19 years, just because we weren't using it anymore. We watch zero sports and very little current TV, and Hulu has most of our shows we do watch the next day.

Just wanted to say thanks to those who have answered my questions over the years. Reading this board has been a daily experience, and I learned a lot.

Coincidentally, my dad canceled his D* on the same day as I, and I helped him install his first setup in 1994! He too just didn't watch much current stuff.

    Thanks again!

one would figure with everyone leaving in droves the subscriber loss would convince att to get out of the video business no matter what the cost is to do so

I left after two decades, they canceled my account by mistake. After phones calls many times I got it back on and was given $150.00 credit, but all my discounts were gone and had to start over as new subscriber. After I used all the 150.00 credit I said good-bye

I've been with DirecTV since 1996. ATT has destroyed the service, and I'll leave the day D* loses Sunday Ticket.

Same here! A DTV customer since 1996 and plan to bail once Sunday Ticket is either gone or can be received in some other legal way.
