Our hometown cell company has basically counted on this as their only decent Android unit. The only other one they have is an exclusive from a manufacturer called Commtiva, which still only runs on Donut. But unlike the G1 that officially at least is Donut only, the Blaze came out this year. They need a Nexus replacement, and one that doesn't cost $500.
Unfortunately don't count on a Nexus 2. The N1 was designed as a developers phone, to give a boost to Android os. HTC will continue to sell the N1..and Google will have N1s to give to developers. I love my N1, I would shell out the $$ for a N2.
It's not if you knew Google isn't going to sell it any more. So if a person wants one they better get their (not there) order in.

It didn't make it to the end of July, all gone.
Course there's always eBay.
Smart marketing move on Google's part.
Mission very much accomplished!
I have the Droid but love it. SO much better than WinMo.
