My son wanted me to buy a radio for him ( he installs these things and makes boxes for those super loud things you hear all the time ).
I warned him that this was a new seller with no feedback and had only been a member for 3 days.
I also warned him that this item was one fourth of what everyone else wanted for it.
    He was OK with that.
    I bought it.
Today I got an email from Ebay that this seller had been removed and if my item did not arrive to file a complaint to get my money back.

Check feedback before buying on Ebay.

I've had similar problems with eBay sellers. eBay has always made things right. I trust them.

I have been scammed a few times on eBay ... even by sellers with a history and positive feedback. eBay has made it right.

I've started using Paypal for online purchases where available for that very reason. It also avoids having your CC or debit card info spread across the internet.

Back at Christmas, bought a fairly expensive jacket online for my wife, needed a larger size. While I could order the larger size, I couldn't find a return email or phone number. After a week of looking, I filed a complaint with PP. They credited my account in 5 days.

Did you get to keep the wrong sized jacket? Reason I asked is Amex doesn't seem to care about items when you file a claim similar to yours with them. Seems to take a lot longer tho. I recently filed a claim with Amex for the first time. I was impressed with how it was handled. I turned down the credit, Amazon beat them to it.

Yes, I haven't put it on eBay yet. Just making sure nothing else happens.

There is always a link to contact the seller on Ebay. Is that what you couldn't find?

I have been buying on Ebay and paying with PayPal ever since they started in the nineties.
I have been burned a couple of times during all those years and PayPal made it good.

This seller was on Ebay for about 3 days. Ebay removed them. You can not contract the seller since they are no longer a member.
I just posted to remind people to be careful with their purchasing practices.

Actually that purchase wasn't through eBay.
