The picture quality is great. TBS Baseball was great why can't the NBA on TNT get it right?

Definitely looks great... especially on my brand new Samsung 40" LCD in my bedroom (with the HR21 of course!) :D

I got to agree that the pic was very nice.
Now about 9pm we went to a nice restraunt to eat. 3-4 HD sets in stretch-o-vision. Some people just don't get it. Nice ending. There was a bit of pops and dropout in the audio toward the end of the game.

the picture quality was grade A, but what was with certain camera angles having white flashing signals at the top of the screen? The top 4 pixels or so with closed caption data or something flashing was a little strange but I have seen it on other channels sometimes as well.

I have to agree. It's the guys on ESPN on Monday nights I can't take. They just laugh at themselves over and over. The will go 3-4 plays without paying attention to the game. I am a new football fan and need the play by play :)

Worst part is Bryant Gumbel messing up in the commentary, messing up the team names and alot of other stuff. Great picture though, makes me happy to have a hd tv.

The PQ was outstanding last night.
Someone needs to tell Bryant that Football Has Quarters not PERIODS. Also you would think someone would give him a cheat sheet Green bay has a BIG "G" on their helmet, Dallas has a Star! And who is Kevin Romo??

But the best comment of the night came from Collinsworth when Bryant thought it was a good idea to bring up the fact that 3/4 of the country wouldn't be able to see the game. Bryant said something like it would take an hour to discussed Chris jumped right in with no it'll take 2 seconds I am not touching that subject. Chris is entertaining and does know his stuff . Bryant is Boring an kinda embarrassing you would think for the NFl they couldn't find anyone better then him.??

The PQ on NFLHD definitely looked great last night! I thought the same thing while I was watching the game. Not one time did I see any picture or audio breakups, either.

Also, I like when Chris Collinsworth is doing commentary on the games like he did last night.

Agree the PQ was simply great. The announcers were definitely bad, another thing I didn't like was the score graphics didn't have a quarter number shown on it. I guess if you're watching the entire game it's not a big deal, but if you're flipping in and out it's definitely handy to find out where you are in the game.

There are little bars under the team names that turn yellow as the Qtrs goes by.

    Great picture, lousy play-by-play. LOUSY.

I realize some people don't like Musburger but Bryant Gumble, to me, is the absolute worst play-by-play guy I've ever heard on a national broadcast. And his VOICE is terrible for sports. He must have threatened someone at NFL Network with some kind of expose in order to get the gig.

Guess I have to post this again. TNT on Comcast last night was marginally less crappy. Lots of dancing pixels. But we just love to blame DirecTV and MPEG2. It was TNT's fault. On both games. Odd that commercials looked good....

How about...."He is close to the (first down) sticks" when the runner was about two yards past them.

Or...."He is marked down at the 3" when the spot was on the 5.

Gumbel has no idea what is going on during the game.

    And his whiny voice.....

I hate those. Last week, it took me about 3 minutes to figure out where the quarter markers were.

    Very dumb graphic idea.

Oh, and another thing? Since when is it okay to run up on a receiver from behind, bump him in the back then trip him? Collingsworth sure thought it was okay. The nonsense about legs getting tangled? That is for when the receiver and defender are running down field together, not for when a defender comes from behind and trips him a the last second.

Of course, the stupid referees not being sure of a call (again..seems to be an epidemic this year) put doubt into Collingsworth's feable mind.
