I have an HR 44. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or what the problem might be? I’m going to post the channels below, but on all of these channels you can see the picture but there are hundreds of green lines that go from the left to the right side of the screen. Almost like you’re looking through a green filter of some sort. Any ideas? It’s just these channels though. Everything else is OK.

    336, 338, 343, 344, 348, 349, 350, 351, 352, 358, 363, 365, 366, 367, 368, 369, 370, 371, 373, 374, 375, 376, 377, 378, 379, 380

I just checked and am not experiencing your issue on any of those channels. My setup...HR54-200 (0x11b2)...C61K-700 (0x113d)...Reverse Band 5 LNB. Perform a System Test on your HR44.

OK thanks for that. I’m at work now but will do so in a little later this evening. It is very weird. So maybe equipment related. I’ll post the results here. Thanks for your recommendation.

Generally lines like that or weird colors can be from a bad cable

Why would a bad HDMI cable only affect certain channels? That makes no sense.

I agree. If the HDMI cable is bad it most likely would affect all channels with the issue the TS is experiencing.

If you have an issue, don't you check the easiest thing first to eliminate it?

Not necessarily. If he has native on and depending on the resolution of those channels it may be manifesting itself more there on a certain resolution

Well weird thing… Went through all of those channels I listed and they are all clear now. I didn’t even reset the DVR or anything.

Also, it’s been a while since I’ve upgraded equipment… I asked and was told I am eligible to upgrade. She said the newest box is just called the genie. I don’t know if she is misinformed or that was it? There was no model number or anything. Any of you guys know about that? Is it worth upgrading or should I just keep what I have?

Yeah I agree. I guess where things can happen but, if the HDMI cable is bad all of the channels would look like that. That’s the main thing running the picture and sound from the box to the TV. Why would 200 channels be perfectly fine and like 26 channels aren’t? That would be really weird.

Not knocking the other guys opinion though, that’s what this form is for, to help others.

Yup. My first thought was it had to be a broadcast problem, not D*'s fault. But that many channels?

Think all those channels beginning in 3 have the same resolution? Serious question, I have no idea. If that was a broadcast problem and you're right wouldn't they all have to be connected somehow?

I haven’t gone through one by one to really determine that, but if memory serves me, they all seem to be in standard definition.
